Job - Electronics/Mechanical Test Engineer

Job Opportunity: Electronics/Mechanical Test Engineer

The Role

Design and implementation of existing and new manual, semi-automated and fully computerised test equipment.

Main Duties

  • Writing test programmes using LabView, ensuring they are fully documented.
  • Debugging and maintenance of test systems and equipment.
  • Assist with product fault finding and repair as required. 
  • Coordinate and schedule test development with the R&D department.
  • Assist Quality department with calibration of test equipment.
  • Other duties as required in line with the needs of the role.


Skills and Experience


  • Broad technical knowledge of test system architecture, embracing electronic, mechanical and software disciplines.
  • LabView experience, including measurement data acquisition and analysis, instrument control, and test system automation.
  • Ability to write clear and concise engineering documentation.
  • Excellent communication skills - written and verbal.
  • Excellent problem solving skills.
  • Be able to juggle and prioritise many different tasks, working to deadlines.



  • Degree in a relevant science or engineering discipline.

The successful candidate will be enthusiastic, self-motivated and have the ability to use their own initiative.

Hours and Salary

The position is for a 37.5 hour week, Monday to Friday. Salary TBC depending on experience.
