Spectramag-6 is a fast six-channel 24-bit data acquisition system with simultaneous sampling of all channels and a USB interface to the user's PC. The unit is designed for the simultaneous collection and analysis of magnetic and vibration data in three axes. The two groups of three-inputs can be independently selected for magnetic or vibration measurements, allowing complete flexibility.

The unit is compatible with the Mag-03 range of triaxial fluxgate magnetometers with full-scale ranges from ±70 ±1000µT and any piezoelectric accelerometers having a constant current ICP® interface. This combination is ideal for general magnetic measurements, dual magnetometer differential measurements, site surveys, magnetic and vibration measurements for pre-installation surveys for MRI systems, electron microscopes and similar sensitive equipment. The constant current inputs can also be used for a suitable microphone preamplifier for sound measurements within the DC to 3.5kHz range.

The ICP® interface provides a 4mA constant current source via six BNC connector and a gain of 1 to 1000 can be selected for vibration measurements down to a few µg.

Software is provided for collecting and displaying data in both the time and frequency domain to frequencies up to 3.5kHz. The latest version 6.1 provides users with oversampling facility preventing anti-aliasing when using slow sampling rates.

The unit contains a rechargeable battery for remote operation with a laptop computer. A suitable tripod for a three-axis magnetic field sensor and a rugged carrying case are also available.
