Biomagnetics

Living organisms use magnetic fields for purposes such as navigation.
To explore this phenomenon, sometimes referred to as magnetoreception, many experiments have been carried out to understand how, for example, birds navigate. Other areas of research look into how magnetic fields might affect animals.
Magnetic fields may need to be controlled accurately in such experiments. An excellent way to do this is to use our Helmholtz Coil Systems. These enable you create and control known magnetic fields, which can be applied to a sample in an experiment.
