Quality Control
Use of non-magnetic components is essential in some manufacturing sectors. This can include equipment manufactured to be MRI compatible.
Testing of an object’s magnetic properties or associated field can be carried out using our magnetic susceptibility products MS3 and MS2B, or magnetometers Mag-13 with Spectramag-6, or Mag-01H and Mag probes, used inside the shielded environment provided by a TLMS-C100/C200 magnetic shield.
The results allow you to assess whether a material is non-magnetic, or whether impurities within the material cause it to be slightly magnetic. This is an especially useful way to assess the grade of steel or the quality of brass.
