Compass Pad Testing

Compass Pad (also known as Compass Calibration Base) testing is used to determine the standard of a compass pad. A compass pad is an area on the ground where an aircraft is positioned to check its compass. This assessment must be carried out at periodic intervals. Measurements are made using two Mag-01H D/I systems, which are used to compare the declination value at a reference site and at multiple points over the compass pad.
