Some Bartington products benefit from calibration so that they continue to deliver accurate measurements. To find out if your product might need recalibration, check its calibration certificate.Â
Calibration for Gradiometers
You can now buy our calibration service at our online shop. It’s quick and easy, and you can pay online.
Calibration for other Products
- Calibration can now be ordered in our Online Shop.
- When you have purchased a calibration service, our Service Team will contact you and issue you with an RMA number.
- By arrangement with our Service Team, send your product to the address below, remembering to include the RMA number.

- We will email you to confirm receipt of the product.
- We will inspect and calibrate the product. Typically this takes 10 working days after receipt, but can be longer during busy periods. We provide the current lead time when issuing the RMA number.
- If the product is within specification we will dispatch it once the work has been completed.
- If the product is out of specification, we will email you a quotation for the cost of adjusting it so that it is within specification. On receipt of your confirmation to proceed via a purchase order – which we will acknowledge by email – we will make the adjustments. For this we usually allow an extra five working days from receiving your amended PO.
- We will then dispatch the product and we will email you to confirm when we have shipped the equipment back to you.
The calibration on most Bartington products is valid for a two year period.
If you are returning a product from outside the UK, which requires an export licence, we may need to apply for a new export licence before returning the products to you.
